The B.A.A. strongly encourages everyone practice personal responsibility for the 126th Boston Marathon and B.A.A. 5K. From guests traveling with athletes to spectators cheering on participants, everyone is encouraged to take efforts to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. Additionally, anyone who develops any symptoms must avoid public activity except for going to get a COVID-19 test.

Masks will be required on Boston Marathon official buses and in all medical tents. Masks will be available across various locations associated with the Boston Marathon and Patriots' Day weekend activities.
Private Sam Adams Brewery Tour
To celebrate the beloved tradition of the Boston Marathon, Samuel Adams is hosting private tours for runners and their families to join us at the Boston Brewery (30 Germania St) for a unique look into how our beer is made. Enjoy a fresh pint of 26.2 Brew as one of our guides walks you through our brewhouse and then head into the tasting room for an exclusive R&D tasting!
In addition, runners who show their bib from this year’s 126th Boston Marathon will receive their own complimentary Marathon pint glass at either of our Boston locations starting Thursday 4/14 until supplies last. Exclusively available at our Boston Brewery and Downtown Taproom, cans of 26.2 Brew will be released on Wednesday 4/13.
Follow us @SamuelAdamsBeer @SamAdamsBostonBrewery and @SamAdamsBostonTaproom to celebrate all weekend long with us!

Our Boston Marathon Medical Committee is committed to providing medical support to ensure participants’ health and safety. Prior to race day, we ask that you securely share your medical information through RaceSafe by completing this voluntary, brief questionnaire relating to your medical history.

The medical information provided by all athletes will be referenced only by the designated Marathon Medical Team in the case of injury/illness requiring medical attention on April 18.
Information provided will be stored in an encrypted, HIPAA-compliant system, that is not shared or utilized for any other purpose and bears no impact on one's acceptance to participate in the 2022 Boston Marathon. Participation is voluntary, but please know this information may be lifesaving in the event of a medical emergency. Thank you for helping keep the Boston Marathon as safe as possible.
Take Part in a Boston Marathon Sports Medicine Research Study
You are invited to participate in the sports medicine research study “Energy Availability, Health, and Performance among Boston Marathon 2022 Athletes” survey: available at this link, before Marathon Monday. Study participation is voluntary, and involves a confidential, brief (15-minute) survey to help the sports medicine community better understand the health issues facing endurance athletes. Dr. Kristin Whitney, Dr. Kate Ackerman, and the research team at the Division of Sports Medicine at Boston Children's Hospital (a Harvard Medical School academic hospital) are leading this research initiative with the goal of better supporting health and performance in the marathoner community. This survey asks questions about dietary habits, basic health, injury history, training routines, and running goals. For those who consent to participate, confidential survey responses will be compared with athlete health and performance results, with the aim of understanding how pre-race factors may affect marathoners’ outcomes. All information will be fully confidential, de-identified, and used for research purposes only.
