Celebrating Black History Month
In celebration of Black History Month, we’re sharing stories and iconic moments of Black individuals and organizations in Boston Marathon history. Highlighted most recently were Marilyn Bevans and the Boston Running Collaborative.

Marilyn Bevans became the first Black American woman to run a sub three-hour marathon at the 1975 Boston Marathon, and the Boston Running Collaborative is an organization comprised of groups such as Black Girls Run, Black Men Run, TrailblazHers, and PIONEERS Run Crew that are committed to building a diverse Boston running community, improving health and wellness, and expanding access to running and walking in Boston with a focus on communities of color.

We applaud these groups and individuals for diversifying the sport of running!
We’ll see you around.
Maurten is your on-course gel at the 127th Boston Marathon — so you get to fuel with the cleanest, most easy-on-the-stomach nutrition out there. Train your running fueling just like you train your running fitness — build it up, practice, refine.

Get used to it.

We’ve created a 1-month training pack that includes all the pre, during, and post-run Maurten products you need for 4 weeks of fueling your Boston build — covering tempo, intervals, and long runs. Participants receive a 20% discount off of the training pack; this pack is a special offer and is only available to registered Boston athletes.
