An Invitation . . .

The Heritage Committee of the Hutcherson Flying Queens Foundation, Inc. invites you to join with the Foundation in celebrating Coach Harley J. Redin’s Enshrinement into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in the Class of 2024.

The Enshrinement Ceremony on October 13th in Springfield, Massachusetts was a special and long-overdue event for a special man. We wish all of you could have been there but since that wasn’t possible, we thought you might like to celebrate him and his enshrinement by donating to the Flying Queens Museum.

The museum is a living history lesson about Coach Redin that preserves his contributions to Flying Queens basketball, to USA basketball, and to the development of the game of basketball as we experience it today. It also preserves the impact he had on the players he led -- one of whom may be you!

To that end, the Hutcherson Flying Queens Foundation, Inc. is launching an 18-day campaign on the heels of Coach Redin’s Enshrinement titled “18 for 18.”

Our goal is to raise $18,000 for the 18 years Coach Redin coached the Flying Queens and to complete the goal in 18 days.

All proceeds will go to the Flying Queens Museum’s endowment and be invested to help preserve Queens’ history and Coach Redin’s legacy in perpetuity.

$18,000 For 18 Years

A Campaign Honoring

Coach Harley J. Redin

Class of 2024 Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

$18,000 for 18 years in 18 days

Campaign to run from October 14 through October 31.

A Solid Start

To boost this effort, the Foundation sought six $1000 gifts or pledges to give this campaign a headstart in reaching its $18,000 goal.

Why six gifts? To recognize the six AAU national championships the Flying Queens won under Coach Redin’s leadership.

We are delighted to announce that the response to this request yielded $6,000 in pledges or gifts. Pledge gifts will be completed by October 31.

So, as of Monday, October 14, the Foundation is seeking $12,000 over the next 18 days.

October 14 - October 31

Remaining Goal is $12,000

Will You Join With Us In Honoring Coach Redin?

We hope you will choose to be a part of the Foundation's efforts to raise $18,000 for 18 years in 18 days. The exciting news is we are over 1/3 of the way there. If you choose to make a gift, you can give as an individual or as part of a group and can give either online or by check.

Individual Giving

We appreciate any and all individual gifts to the "18 for 18" campaign. And all gifts matter regardless of the amount.

Group Giving

Another way to impact the campaign is by joining with family members or former teammates and friends to make a gift consisting of collective individual gifts. Giving as a group is a great way to have a greater impact without straining one's budget.
