Ask Yourself These 3 Questions and Then Look Forward to 2026

If you’re like us, every year at this time you ask out loud, “November! How is it November already?” The last two pages of the calendar come at us fast, and they bring with them deep feelings … some good, some not so much.

We gathered online with some of you recently to brainstorm about how we can close out this challenging year from a position of strength. The session was called “Finishing Strong: Reset. Refocus. Reignite.” If you weren’t there, we missed you and we don’t want you to feel left out. See below to register for our upcoming events.

Many participants liked the breakout rooms best because they got to share their wins and not-wins and then get feedback. In small groups, they considered these questions — and we ask you to consider them now. Write down your answers, or get with your girlfriends or trusted advisors to ponder them:

  • What’s one win you’re celebrating from 2025, personal or professional?

  • What’s one thing that didn’t go as planned, and what did it teach you?

  • How do you want to finish strong this year — what’s one thing you still want to complete or approve before December 31?

Here’s the thing: We often hold ourselves to a higher standard than we hold other people. If you’re sure you’re not going to meet all the goals you set for yourself for 2025, you’re not alone. We’re here to tell you it’s going to be OK. The key is what you do to move forward.

Remember, guilt is not a growth strategy! Maybe you had too many goals on your list.

Here’s a saying we shared during the event: “Focus on less to achieve more.” What matters most deserves your best, so make space for what is truly important.
