We're reaching out to you because we believe you can help us create a brighter future at the 41st Annual Bowling for Kids event, benefiting Children’s Mentoring Connection on March 23 & 24, 2024, at AMF Sportsman Lanes in Findlay.
Your support is not just a contribution; it's a beacon of hope for kids like Lauren, whose transformative journey with her mentor, Pat, showcases the magic of mentorship. Lauren met Pat in the 4th grade through our Bigelow Hill school-based mentoring program. Each year Lauren could count on the one constant from grade to grade and transitions through school buildings Pat would be there each week from the 4th through 8th grades. At the end of 8th grade they wanted to continue to build on their connection and transitioned into our Community-based program where they met on a regulars basis each month discovering new things in our community. In May of 2023, Lauren graduated from Findlay High School and Millstream Career Center’s culinary arts program, all while Pat continued to be her steadfast mentor. Lauren is currently enrolled at Owen’s Community College, pursuing a career in culinary arts. Their story is a testament to the enduring power of mentorship, shaping both the mentor and mentee.

Research consistently shows that children matched with a mentor not only excel academically but also avoid the use of illegal substances and have improved self-esteem and self-confidence. In 2024, as we celebrate 50 years of youth mentoring programs, we want you to be part of the glow-up! This year, we're introducing Glow Bowling for the first time! Imagine lights down low, bowling under black lights, and a whole lot of glow-in-the-dark fun. We encourage you to join the festivities, pick out your team colors, and let the glow party begin!
