2019 Is Almost in The Books...What A Fabulous Year! 

With honor and gratitude, we at   One Hit Away Foundation  "Thank You" for your special support, financial & non-financial gifts this year. This vital assistance provided to those affected athletes this year could not have taken place without you. We encourage you to make your 2019 year end contribution to further assist OHA's expanding needs and opportunities.

OneHitAway is focused on providing timely resources, support and education to individuals, teams and families affected by this "invisible injury." Too many past and current athletes are struggling with the ill-effects of sports related brain injuries that unfortunately impact their quality of life and their loved-ones' in confusing and tragic ways .

One Hit Away Foundation's Introduces its
Sports Advisory Council

Last month One Hit Away Foundation established its Sports Advisory Council . This group of x-professional athletes are dedicating their valuable time, reputation and passion to assist One Hit Away within their own communities of sports and national networks. Their playing days have left them with a clear understanding of the importance of empowering athletes to know about the power of "Brain Healing and Brain Health" resulting from sports related concussions and multiple sub-concussions.

End of Year Donation Goal
We ask you to make it count as 2019 comes to a close. Help OHA meet its end-of-year "Donation Goal of $25,000" to fund timely and needed initiatives such as:
  • Youth Sports Outreach Program (YSOP) San Francisco Bay Area
  • National Ambassador Program / High School and College Campuses
  • OHA existing "Recipient Program" serving athletes of all ages / sports.

Get Involved and Have Some Fun!
  • Host a OneHitAway "get together" at your home. These are contagious and beneficial for all.
  • Volunteer time for OHA's Ambassador Program for your High School or College.
  • Share your expertise and passion by volunteering for the upcoming April 30, 2020 Charity Event.

This is the marque event in 2020 and our brain healing recipients depend on its success. Please mark your calendar for the Sixth Annual Charity Golf, Dinner and Auction Event to be held on  Thursday, April 30, 2020 at GreenHills Country Club in Millbrae, CA.

Registration details will be forthcoming in January. We can utilize your passionate help and generosity to make this another memorable and beneficial event. If you would like to help us or donate an auction item, please let us know by sending an email to  contact@onehitaway.org  .

Holiday Chocolate Candy Cane Smoothie
Ingredients  (   From Jaime Lindauer - OHA Trustee)
  • 1/2 cup almond milk
  • 1/2 cup coconut milk
  • 5-6 peppermint leaves, torn
  • 1tbsp raw honey
  • 1small frozen banana, peeled & sliced
  • 1-2tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1/4tsp peppermint extract (optional)
  • 1 pitted date
Place ingredients into a blender and blend until creamy. Pour into a glass, add a straw, and enjoy!
