A Message from Debbie

Dear Jarrow Families,

Today, as we try to process the tragic and senseless act of gun violence in our community, we mourn for the victims and their families. Boulder has suffered an horrific tragedy at the hands of one person who took the lives of ten innocent people, including one very brave police officer, Eric Talley. I truly hope none of our Jarrow families have been directly affected by this tragedy, but I am unable to confirm this as of this writing. I know I speak for our Jarrow community in offering our condolences to all the families and friends who lost loved ones at King Soopers supermarket yesterday.

Please reach out if you need any help or support in the coming days or weeks. I have included resources that might assist you in having conversations with your child if questions come up. While these conversations are never easy, it is important to listen to the questions your child is asking, keep your answers simple, and reassure your child all the adults in their lives are here to keep them safe.

Again, please don't hesitate to reach out for any reason.

In peace,
