Lara Knipmeyer - Garrell,
GKL Consulting, LLC
(that's me!)

Lara started her career in community management over sixteen (16) years ago. She is currently licensed by the State of Nevada Real Estate Division and holds a Supervising Community Manager license. She was the first and only Northern Nevada Board Member for NACM (Nevada Association of Community Managers), as well as an instructor for Key Realty School, CAMEO as well as the Real Estate Division of Nevada. Lara also holds a Certified Manager of Community Associations (CMCA) designation with CAI (Community Associations Institute). Lara volunteers her time with CAI and the CAI Legislation Action Committee. Lara also contributes content to a number of education classes including the ownership of a CE class titled "Understanding Limited Purpose CICs" (CE.0420000-CAM).

In early 2020 when the COVID-19 pandemic began and in - person CE classes were cancelled, Lara worked with the Nevada Real Estate Division, industry attorney's and education providers to offer something that had never been done and that was Zoom CE classes for community managers. Over the course of last year and a half, Lara has organized, hosted (and sometimes even taught the same class!) over 35 Zoom CE classes for managers and board members all over Nevada.

When she is not working as a portfolio manager in Northern Nevada, teaching or writing new CE classes, Lara enjoys working out, gardening and is a bonus mom to two children (and most recently a bonus grandma), as well as the wife of a wildland firefighter.
