Upcoming Class Changes

  • Kathie’s Thursday Gentle Yoga class moved to 10:45 am. 
  • Kathie will be teaching a Reformer I on Thursday evenings at 5:30 pm beginning August 4th. 
  • Diana will be teaching a “People on Weights” or POW! (this is like our WOW classes but co-ed welcomed!) on Friday mornings at 9:30am starting Friday, September 1st.

Letter From Diana
15 Years!!! Celebrating so so much! I am in awe and deeply grateful.

It is so hard to believe that it has been 15 years since it all began and we opened the essence doors! At that time, there was no other studio like essence in this area at all and it was exciting and nerve-wracking all the same. But, here we are 15 years later with friends that have been with us the entire time and many new ones that we've met along the way. It all began with:

  • A powerful, heart-felt desire to build a space and community that supports all on their path to live their healthiest, most joyful lives.
  • A passion to bring a blend of modalities to all so that all parts of who we are can be cared for...our entire essence.
  • A deep knowing that community is everything and the support and motivation that comes when we work together on ourselves. Great, powerful things happen in groups.
  • A full love for living and thriving (not just surviving) that comes from deep in my soul and a deep desire to help anyone I can find that same in themselves.
  • A hunger for continued learning and growth.

All of this and much, much more has happened over these past 15 years and I feel so very blessed to have made it this far with all of you! I am SO humbled and grateful for another year being voted the #1 trainer for Mature Living and, along with the 15th anniversary of essence, I know the Divine has been blessing me all along as I manage essence and help so many folks though all.

Thank you so very much! May you know that you are amazing, worthy, and a beautiful miracle like no other EVER! Take care of your health and wellbeing first....all else will come.

Silent retreats provide space for participants to experience the powerful impact of having an extended time and space to restore. Past participants are so amazed at the power of this retreat and many have attended more than one! The foods are wholesome and delicious (vegan/gluten-free), the grounds are stunning and so calming, and the guided meditations and practices will restore and relax you. Diana shares many techniques for finding balance, and her private energy sessions are powerful for those that choose to add them on.

How to walk and travel with no pain! 

Have you ever wondered if there was a way to walk “healthy” and “unhealthy”? Do your back, knees, feet, or even neck hurt when you try to walk for exercise? Do you worry about how to travel without your body hurting? Diana is going to break down all there is to know about having a healthy gait, how to develop a healthy gait, what to do when traveling, and how to care for our bodies to keep a healthy alignment. If the weather allows, Diana will take this group outside for the 2nd 1/2 of the workshop and put into practice all that is learned in the first 1/2.

Come learn all that goes into our gait and how to keep yourself going for many walks or trips without pain! Diana will show yoga poses and other tools to help keep you moving... pain-free!

CECs / YTT Workshop Hours
These workshops are open to anyone. Diana can offer CEC’s for both Y.A. (Yoga Alliance) and A.C.E. (The American Council on Exercise). CEC's for other organizations can be petitioned for these workshops.
They are also workshop hours for the ‘essence of Yoga’ 200hr teacher training school, and offered to those in the ‘essence of yoga’ 300hr as part of their training.

Mask/COVID Guidelines UPDATED 3-1-22
Mask/COVID Guidelines Effective March 1, 2022
Due to the significant decrease in the COVID virus severity, numbers of cases, hospitalizations and with the changes just noted by the CDC and state, we are not mandating masks at the studio any longer unless you would like to wear one. We ask that you do not come into the studio sick with or without medications you may have taken or if you have been with folks who are sick. We may need to reinstate masks in the future if the COVID situation changes and will notify all if we do.
We will continue to clean diligently and use our UV lights between classes along with our hepa filters with UV lights.
We recommend a K-N95 or N95 mask for your protection if you feel the need to wear one. If you are working with a trainer for a private session and would feel more comfortable with the trainer wearing a mask, they for sure will. Just let them know.

Important Zoom Class Reminders: 

  • For those participating via zoom, you must be visible on camera. We can not allow participants coming on with us without a camera option going forward for safety reasons.
  • Be signed up at least 2 hours before the class begins
  • Zoom link will be sent about 1 hour before class begins to your email 
  • Be signed in 15 minutes before class 
  • Ask all in your home to be off the internet for best reception for Zoom classes 
  • You will be on mute during Zoom classes and can send a chat message to the instructor if needed. 
  • For yoga classes, please leave savasana at the beginning or stay on the entire time to avoid being disruptive to the class.

Please consider keeping valuables and things you do not need in your trunk or at home when coming to the studio. Due to space and safety concerns, we cannot have extra belongings in the rooms while classes are going on. Although we take pride in our amazing community and studio, Essence is not responsible for lost or stolen items, and we are hoping to help you prevent any issues while also keeping the studio safe and spacious for everyone.

No recordings, photos, or copying of classes, workshops, or private sessions without written permission from the owner. Please leave all cellular devices on silent/off and in your bag during sessions/classes.

In order to make the space comfortable for everyone, please refrain from wearing colognes or perfumes to class.
