The Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony
The Ethiopian coffee ceremony, or Bunna, is a key part of home and social life. It is a process of preparation that can take hours. It starts with the washing of coffee beans and ends with ceremonially pouring the drink into cups. The ceremony is practiced by women in Ethiopian culture, and girls are taught from a young age how the ritual is performed. It is observed at least daily, and starting the coffee ritual is the standard way to welcome visitors to the home.
The ceremony starts with fresh, green beans that are roasted in a pan while fragrant flowers are burned to provide a pleasant aroma. After that, coffee is prepared and poured into cups containing sugar, salt, or butter. It is sometimes offered at Ethiopian restaurants in the US, the UK, and elsewhere.

Elio Barbera, CFO of Cafe Barbera Franchise, LLC and the 6th generation of the Barbera Coffee family was presented with an award from Dr Tweet Coleman, USO Orlando's Events Director during the USO Orlando's Charter Announcement ceremony party in Celebration, Florida.
Mr Barbera, representing Barbera Italian Coffee of America and Cafe Barbera Franchise LLC was honored for Barbera Coffee contributions to the United Service Organization and their steadfast support of Project USO Orlando.

Barbera Coffee, in cooperation with Barbera Italian Coffee of America will host the newest tour of the oldest coffee roasting company in Europe. The tour will include: - Meet and greet with Dr Enrico Barbera, President and CEO of Barbera Coffee and staff, Mr. Bud Dunklin, Chief Operating Officer of Barbera Italian Coffee of America.
- Tour of the roasting facility, Barbera museum and see how after 143 years and five generations Barbera Coffee is the best Italian Coffee on the market today.
- Free Tasting session
- Barbera Product Basket raffle.
- Ability to purchase coffee and other unique collectable Barbera products including Italian porcelain coffee moka pots and cups at special prices. All sales are in Euro.
Recommending car pooling; min 40-45 persons. Kids are welcome under the keen supervision of their adult parents.

Join everyone at the Bean Runner Cafe every Friday and Saturday night for the best live music performances in the area. They are an intimate, warm and friendly live music cafe with a full menu, including beer, wine, Barbera Italian coffee and espresso that are available during all performances. Seating fills quickly, so give them a call to reserve your table. Seating starts at 7:30 pm.
Showtime is at 8:00pm. Reservations are held until 8:00 pm.
