you'll find people who have been there and accept you for where you are.

We welcome all people to worship, pray, eat, seek spiritual answers and enjoy life within this community of faith. All are welcome!

Healing Holidays
Friends of Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church are invited to participate in this series of events to create space for the grief that accompanies all of us through the holiday season. Each gathering happens at Waverly Road Presbyterian Church from 6:30 to 7:30 pm and are from November 22 through January 3. Sign ups are appreciated by November 16.

CHPC will be supporting this ministry by offering our annual Wholeness and Healing worship service in partnership with Waverly Road Presbyterian Church on Thursday, December 15 at 6:00 pm. All are welcome to this meaningful worship service, regardless of participation in this program. Please contact David for more information or reach out to Sharon Petke at 423-676-6931. Child care will be available with registration.
Mission Opportunity on
Saturday, November 19
CHPC is partnering again with the local chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace to construct beds for children in need. We will gather at the Church on Saturday morning, November 19 at 9:00 am, to work on the construction of the beds. This project is open to anyone who is able to participate, no matter your age, gender, or skill level.

Special help is also needed to deliver and set up the beds within the children's home at a later date. Please contact Allen Booth or Mary in the church office if you are interested in volunteering to build or deliver beds.

Christmas Party
The Women's Ministry Fellowship would like to invite you and a friend to join us for our Christmas party on Sunday, December 4 at 2:00 pm in the gym. Let's come together to enjoy each time together to learn about Vintage Traditions of the Christmas Kissing Ball with our friend, Kim Dykes!

Kim is the owner of Kimberly Dykes Interiors, a decorating business specializing in interior space planning, paint color and finish selections, custom window treatments, bedding and seasonal decorating. For over 40 years she has worked in the commercial and residential interior design field. In 2019 she added another dimension to her career as a TN licensed real estate agent for Town and Country Realty. Kim and her husband Michael along with their 6 fish reside in Kingsport.

Let's start the Christmas Season with fun, fellowship and dessert! Please contact Alda Smith for more information.
Congregational News
The Youth Group will not meet on Sunday night, as they are returning from the Holston Youth Retreat Sunday in the afternoon.

Volunteers are needed to help the youth group with meals for the final few weeks of the semester. Thank you to all those who have previously supported this important ministry. Please contact Tyler to sign up or visit the youth meal train here.

Are you interested in joining Colonial Heights Presbyterian Church? Are you already a member but desire to know more about how to get involved? Mark your calendar for a special class on Sunday, December 4 at 11:45 am to learn more about how you can be active within the life of this church family. More information will be shared closer to the date, but please sign up by contacting David directly.

CHPC is partnering again to provide Thanksgiving boxes with Colonial Heights Christian Church (CHCC) for local families in need. Members of our Church will provide the side dishes and CHCC will provide the meat, likely chicken as there is a shortage of turkeys this year. Please pick up a Suggestion Card, and if needed a box from the parlor to begin filling your donation. Sunday, November 6 and 13 boxes will be available, but if able, please supply your own box and ensure there is enough room to add a chicken. Completed boxes will be collected by Sunday, November 20 to be delivered to CHCC after worship. You may also drop your box off at the church any time prior to November 20. Thank you for participating in this community need!

The CHPC Christmas Memorial Gifts program is for those who wish to give a memorial gift to honor or remember those special people who have been a part of our life. You may choose to give a poinsettia that will be used to decorate the church or a monetary contribution to our Renovation Fund. The cost for a poinsettia is $10. All names will be printed in the bulletin on Sunday, Dec. 18. Poinsettias may be picked up after the Christmas Eve service. Order forms are available in the narthex and should be ordered by November 14. Please make any monetary contributions by December 12.

Thank you for prayerfully considering how God is calling you to participate in this year's stewardship season. God certainly has given us many blessings and we wish to faithfully minister to be a blessing for others in God's name. Additional stewardship packets are available and any pledge cards or time and talent surveys can be returned to the front office. If you have any financial questions, please contact Sarah Johnson at

All items for the weekly online newsletter should be emailed to Mary at by end of business on Tuesday.
