Is your professional liability insurance up-to-date?


Many registrants’ professional liability insurance (PLI) coverage expires on Dec. 31 of each year. If you are registered in the General Class, you must have valid PLI coverage, regardless of whether you are currently employed or practising within the scope of kinesiology practice.

Entry-to-Practice Examination deadlines


The 2024 spring Entry-to-Practice Exam application deadlines are coming up. If you hold an Ontario Kinesiology Degree, sign up for the exam before Feb. 2, 2024. The application deadline for Education Equivalency Review applicants was Jan. 17, 2024. The Exam Registration Form and payment must be received before Feb. 28, 2024.

Privacy breach & Information and Privacy Commissioner of Ontario (IPC)


Kinesiologists who are Health Information Custodians (HICs) are also required to submit annual statistical reports to the IPC on or before March 1, 2024. In addition, as of Jan. 1, 2024, the IPC has been authorized to issue Administrative Monetary Penalties (AMPs) as part of its enforcement of PHIPA.
