🍎 4500+ Reasons ❀️
"Without PCEF behind us, we would have to be out knocking on doors - but we only have to knock on ONE door - which is them!"
ο»Ώ- Rebeca Gonzalez, EHMS Spanish DLI Teacher
PCHS Class of 2014
PCEF is grateful for Park City's educators.

In their expert hands, PCEF funding powers deeper learning, critical connections, and innovative ideas for Park City's 4500 students.

We asked a few of PCSD's wonderful teachers to weigh in on how PCEF supports their life's work, and we urge you to take a moment to watch.

Hear how they describe striving to maintain their footing over the last few years, and what schools would look like in Park City if PCEF didn't exist...

"I don’t know what I would do without PCEF.
It serves me so I can serve my kids... They trust me for thinking outside the box. They trust me.”

ο»Ώ- Melissa Nikolai, PCHS English Teacher
Melissa Nikolai, an English teacher in her 28th year, teaches a class called "Literature of Happiness," in which students study the mechanics and mechanisms of happiness.

Melissa's hope is that her teaching on happiness, which she calls a "habit of the mind... a work ethic" will stretch far beyond the walls of her classroom.

Click below to see more, including one surprising and effective way she has taught her students to learn about mindfulness - just one tool our educators and students can use on the journey to wellness.
The past several years have shown us just how essential it is to support educators and students beyond pure academics. The drive to support teachers like Melissa was a catalyst behind PCEF's decision to place Educator and Student Wellness among our eight Signature Initiatives.
PCEF's Educator and Student Wellness Speaker Series continues this December with pediatrician and child psychiatrist Dr. Jason Rafferty.

Please join us for his talk, "Tripping Through Adolescent Substance Abuse and Experimentation."

This is a free event. Translation services will be provided.

We encourage you to spread the word about this important community conversation.
We work hard to make sure the content we pass along is chock-full of value.

With that in mind, we are delighted to share PCEF's YouTube channel!
