I wrote about Ubuntu in my inaugural 'Cara's Corner' and believe in every word now more than ever.

"Ubuntu is knowing, understanding, embracing, and operating from the Universal truth that we, as human beings, are all connected…no matter how much of a divide there appears to be."

To all of you, and to anyone who will read/listen to me when I share the teachings of Ubuntu, I encourage you to ask yourself, "What unites me as a human with this person?" when in conflict with said fellow human. I think you just might surprise yourself (and them!) when you carve out a quiet moment with this question...and tune into the answers that surface.

Tutum Leadership Coaching had the honor of facilitating team retreats for both Habitat for Humanity Orange County (pictured on the right) and the Home Builders Association of Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties (pictured above) in August.

Equipped with individual and team strengths, they are ready to serve their customers with a new appreciation for the importance of living and working from strengths, both as individuals and as a collective. So proud!!
