"I feel really lucky. I was in my college class where it was the first time classmates built a paper airplane to look at drag and lift.

"And I would hear, 'Wow! This is the first time I've ever done anything like this!'

"And then I would think...Really? I got to make a whole medical device in high school!"

Kristina Schiffman (PCHS 2020), says her high school work in PCCAPS gave her a tremendous head start in college.

PCCAPS, a program in the PCEF Signature Initiative Real World Learning, marks its 10th anniversary this year!

PCHS Transition Program classmates with teacher Holly Huggins
β€œWhen I say she lives the vision - she lives the vision. As a teacher, Holly celebrates her students’ contributions in a positive way that meets their interests and strengths.

Because of Holly, the PCHS Transition Program provides attachments to things that will impact so many lives, long after high school.”

-Kara Brechwald, PCSD Special Educator Teacher Leader
PCEF asks for $180* per child because it's just $1 per school day! That's less than a cup of coffee each morning.

πŸ€”In fact, there is not much you can buy for a dollar these days...

  • We won't call you during our Phone-a-thon...
  • You'll help your school win big time cash from the UPS Stores Park City...
  • You boost your child's chance to win a party for their class!
  • Best of all - you provide funding for $1.5 million in programs reaching every student across our district!

"Most Kids Are All Right,
ο»ΏMost of the Time."
"YES! Most of the kids are all right."
-- Dr. Michael Thompson

When COVID hit, things went quiet for Dr. Michael Thompson – for a bit.

But then, the flood of calls began... Parents, educators, coaches, administrators - dozens of them. All with the same question:

"Are the kids going to be alright?"

His presentation, "Are the Kids Alright? Post (or Late) Pandemic Assessment," was PCEF's first Educator and Student Wellness Speaker Series event.

His conclusion: most students, while showing social immaturity and a large overall increase in group conflict, were not traumatized.

  • Four protective factors that will help our children.
  • The children suffering most – and why.
  • Six ways schools can nurture mental wellness.
