Voices of the Village

Wisdom is defined as the ability to think and act using knowledge, experience, understanding, common sense, and insight. "Voices of the Village" is utilized to showcase wisdom from wise and wonderful parents.

"Being a mother is not for the faint of heart; for God chooses his strongest soldiers to endure the most difficult journeys that parenthood brings. Trust Him through every joy, every sorrow, every triumph, every loss, and your most unbearable life moments. It is in those places that you will find Him."

9 Week Parenting on Purpose Video Series

We all know that children don't come with instruction manuals, and with today's barrage of seemingly opposing information and uncharted societal issues, parenting can seem overwhelming. The 9-week Parenting on Purpose Video Series seeks to help parents make sense of it all through proven and practical parenting solutions created by Dr. Bob Barnes. Dr. Barnes has a doctorate in counseling and received his education at Maryville College and Florida Atlantic University.

Raising Grateful Kids in an Entitled World

by Kirsten Welch

"But everyone else has it." "If you loved me, you'd get it for me "

When you hear these comments from your kids, it can be tough not to cave. You love your children―don't you want them to be happy and to fit in? Kristen Welch knows firsthand it's not that easy. In fact, she's found out that when you say yes too often, it's not only hard on your peace of mind and your wallet―it actually puts your kids at long-term risk

Now with discussion questions, a list of recommended resources, and a sample cell phone agreement for teens, Kristen shows it's never too late to raise grateful kids.

Movie of the Month

Wicked: For Good

Now demonized as the Wicked Witch of the West, Elphaba lives in exile in the Ozian forest, while Glinda resides at the palace in Emerald City, reveling in the perks of fame and popularity. As an angry mob rises against the Wicked Witch, she'll need to reunite with Glinda to transform herself, and all of Oz, for good.

Volunteer

Cleft of the Rock is looking forward to even greater things. We have been able to accomplish a lot over a short period with the help of volunteers just like you! We are growing! Grow with us! Helping does not have to be complicated. Just use what you know how to do to help. That's called volunteering! We are always in need of new volunteers and would greatly appreciate your time in any way that you can contribute. If you have teenagers who need hours for school, any time they volunteer with us can count towards their goal...even virtually.

Volunteer today. Click on the link below to fill out the form, and we will contact you.
