As climate change continues to make an impact on the world, especially in coastal communities like Encinitas, it’s vitally important that everyone, including business owners, do their part when it comes to sustainability and resiliency.
To talk about what is being done and how you can get involved I am pleased to have with me today from the City of Encinitas Ryan Lampkin and Aoife Maxwell.

WELCOME NEW BOARD MEMBER
LAUREN ALTMAN
| |
Lauren Altman – Founder, Golden Path Senior Solutions and our newest Board Member.
Lauren Altman is the founder and owner of Golden Path Senior Solutions, a company she launched in 2010 after transitioning from a successful career in corporate insurance to open her own independent agency. Drawing on years of industry experience, Lauren specializes in helping individuals navigate the often complex world of Medicare, guiding them to find health plans tailored to their unique needs. She finds it deeply rewarding to support clients through the many choices they face each year.
| |
Before founding her own agency, Lauren gained valuable experience working with major insurers including Guardian Life, Mass Mutual, Anthem, and
UnitedHealthcare. While she’s grateful for the knowledge and skills developed during those years, she truly values the freedom of running her own business and the objectivity it allows when recommending the best solutions for her clients.
Lauren is actively involved in the health insurance community, serving on the Legislative Committee for the California Association of Health Underwriters (CAHIP). In this role, she has met with lawmakers in both Sacramento and Washington, D.C., advocating for consumer rights. She also participates in various civic engagement initiatives.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Maryland, College Park. Originally from Morristown, New Jersey, Lauren moved to California in 1990. After living in Los Angeles and Rancho Bernardo, she settled in Encinitas in 2016 — her favorite place yet.
Lauren is the proud mother of a son and daughter, both of whom have returned to California after attending universities on the East Coast. They are thriving in their careers and relationships. In her free time, Lauren enjoys fitness classes, hiking, dancing, music, theater, and wine tasting.
