BOARD MEMBER SPOTLIGHT

As an Field Representative for EDCO Waste and Recycling Services, Logan Betz has been involved with the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce for many years and joined the Board of Directors in 2023.

He leads the Education & Networking Committee including overseeing the recently launched Young Professionals

Group. He is also an active member of the Environmental Sustainability Committee where he brings his hands-on experience to provide valuable insights into waste management challenges, and opportunities faced by local enterprises in our community.

He does this all with a smile and sense of humor. If you haven’t heard him host a Chamber Moonlight Mixer, you don’t know what you are missing.

Born and raised in North County, he lives with his wife and son in Vista. When he is not talking trash, Logan loves to the take advantage of the area’s many trails, parks and rock-climbing options and spend time building and maintaining terrariums and chasing after his chickens.

As part of our ongoing educational initiatives, we are excited to announce that the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce has joined other chambers and business organizations in creating SOCAL (Student Opportunities for Career Awareness and Learning). This program is designed to promote career awareness for young adults across San Diego County.

Through SOCAL and a grant from San Diego/Imperial County Community College Consortium, we are offering our members the free opportunity to participate by highlighting a high-demand occupation within your organization through a 3-minute video. These videos will be used to encourage career exploration and awareness, and you will also be able to use them for your own recruiting and marketing efforts. Filming will take no more than an hour, and our team will ensure that the process is smooth and comfortable.
