FREE OPPORTUNITY - SOCAL WORKFORCE PROGRAM | |
As part of our ongoing educational initiatives, we are excited to announce that the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce has joined other chambers and business organizations in creating SOCAL (Student Opportunities for Career Awareness and Learning). This program is designed to promote career awareness for young adults across San Diego County.
Through SOCAL and a grant from San Diego/Imperial County Community College Consortium, we are offering our members the free opportunity to participate by highlighting a high-demand

occupation within your organization through a 3-minute video. These videos will be used to encourage career exploration and awareness, and you will also be able to use them for your own recruiting and marketing efforts. Filming will take no more than an hour, and our team will ensure that the process is smooth and comfortable.

A member since 2008, Jim Benedetti, has been on the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors since 2012 and was President/Chairman 2014 – 2018. Currently, he is the Chamber’s Government Relations & Advocacy Committee Chair which dovetails nicely into his interest in, and connections to, the City Council, City staff and current events. He also sits on the Tourism Committee, helping to promote Encinitas to both visitors and residents.
