communications that drive a surge in new traffic. In his free time, he founded the North County Board Meeting in 2014, a non-profit that gives back to our community with fellow business professionals that also happen to surf.
He is especially excited about his role in advancing the tourism initiatives in Encinitas to help spur the city's economic growth. He played a key part in launching the Visit Encinitas website in June, a dynamic, user-friendly platform designed to showcase the city’s unique charm, vibrant culture, and natural beauty. Through this project, he’s not only able to share his love for his hometown with visitors and residents alike, he is constantly discovering new hidden gems himself.
Michael attended SDSU before settling in Encinitas in the mid-’90s, where he and his wife raised their two sons. You’ll often find him cruising around town on his e-bike, stopping by local shops or picking up fresh produce at the Leucadia Farmers Market on Sundays. A dedicated surfer, Michael keeps a close watch on the weather and surf conditions and has been doing a local surf report for over 30 years.
