A Message From Chairman of The Board David DaCosta | |
|
I am ending my tenure as Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Encinitas Chamber of Commerce with a deep sense of gratitude and fulfillment. During the past two years, it has been my honor and privilege to serve our vibrant business community. We made significant strides in advancing the Chamber's goals and mission.
We've worked tirelessly to ensure you, our members, were supported, your voices heard, and your interests well-represented. Amid unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we emerged with resilience, creativity, and a deepened sense of unity, fortifying the Chamber's place as an anchor institution in Encinitas. I am deeply thankful for the support and commitment of my fellow Board members, the Chamber staff, and our members, whose collective efforts contributed immensely to our achievements. While the role of Chairman is significant, the Chamber's progress is truly a testament to the collective action of our amazing community.
I'm proud to have been part of a dynamic Board and feel confident that the Chamber will continue to thrive under the new leadership of incoming Chairman Richard Marks. As I transition to Past-Chairman, I remain devoted to the Chamber's cause and look forward to contributing in other capacities. Thank you once again for the opportunity to serve, it has truly been one of the most rewarding experiences of my professional career.
-David DaCosta

In the 2018 CAP, the City committed to updating the CAP every five years. The CAP update process has been initiated. Currently, a new baseline greenhouse gas emission inventory and projected emissions estimates are under development.
As the City develops new targets, goals and measures for the CAP, staff will seek public input and suggestions on the actions the City can take to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. The City will host a number of workshops and public hearings for community members to share their input on the CAP update.
Opportunities to participate in the process will be announced as meetings and events are scheduled.
