The Greater Mason City Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with Visit Mason City, Main Street Mason City, and the City of Mason City, is proud to introduce the We Love Where We Live video and community culture statement, celebrating what makes Mason City a great place to live, work, visit, and do business.
Developed through the community’s Pride in Place survey and a Community Conversations event, these initiatives reflect Mason City’s shared values and vision for the future.
“In Mason City, we celebrate the history that grounds us, create a place where people choose to belong, and build for the future by thinking boldly and taking action.”
We encourage everyone to engage with and reshare the video on social media, sharing why you love living, working, or playing in Mason City. Together, we can celebrate our community pride and inspire others to see what makes Mason City special! Stay tuned for you and highlight your story of Why You Love Where You Live...

- Frein and Krull represented the Chamber at the Rural Development Conference at NIACC sponsored by First Citizens Bank last week. Topics included employee engagement, multigenerational leadership, economic development, business succession planning, and using AI to improve business operations.
- Last Tuesday, Ruge joined the Iowa Association of Business & Industry (ABI) for its Elevate Iowa Manufacturing Tour, visiting Metalcraft and Kraft Heinz. Ruge and Schultz also assisted ABI with interactive activity for John Adams Middle School students focused on modern manufacturing careers. Students put their teamwork, communication and problem-solving skills to the test while learning more about the opportunities available in manufacturing.

From Baker Floral:
Baker Floral would like to reassure the community that the shop will remain open! While the business has been listed for sale, the decision comes as the owner prepares for retirement, not because of a lack of business or road construction.
The goal is to find the right buyer who shares a love of flowers and a passion for making people smile. Until then, Baker Floral will continue serving customers and helping make life’s special moments even more beautiful.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with questions and shown their support. Baker Floral looks forward to continuing to serve the community!
