Chanco needs you!
Chanco on the James Community Survey
Your input is invaluable to us
Dear Chanco friends,

Whether you are a current camper, camp staff, alumni, volunteer, Happener, Cursillista, EYC’er, retreat guest, parent/grandparent of a camper, member of the diocese, or donor, you are all the foundation of our Chanco family. Thank you for being a part of our history and our present. In hopes you will remain an important part of our future, your input is invaluable as Chanco continually seeks to improve. To effectively determine the needs of our programs and our plans for Chanco’s future, we are conducting a Chanco on the James Community Survey. Your response to this survey is crucial as we work to improve our programming and our connection with our community.
The survey should take about 10 minutes of your valuable time. If you are a parent of a camper(s), please consider forwarding the link to them directly, or feel free to submit a second survey completed by them with your assistance. In gratitude for your time, if you choose to give your email on your completed survey, we will submit it into a drawing to win a $100 gift certificate for use toward any retreat, camp session, or in our Chanco Store!
As we seek to conclude The Campaign for Chanco and find ways to reach the full potential of our new and renovated buildings, the Chanco Board and staff are engaging in strategic thinking and planning as we look toward the next 5-10 years. Our leadership is taking a “deeper dive” into all aspects of Chanco to ensure an ongoing commitment to providing exceptional programming in our summer camp, retreats, and in our hospitality to all groups who choose us for their events. Our goal is to foster the most inclusive, positive environment possible where a relationship with God is found or deepened; where we learn, challenge ourselves, and grow; where we make lifelong friends in Christian community; and where we strive for excellence in Christian hospitality to our guests of all races, religions, sexual identities and orientation, genders, and cultures.

Our programming, and yes, even our traditions, have evolved in countless ways over time. We give thanks to the dedicated leaders and volunteers before us who built Chanco to be what it is today – a thriving, vibrant ministry - and to our current dedicated leaders and volunteers who continue their hard work.  Chanco seeks to always reflect our mission, vision, and values through our place, programming, and people.
We now look with excitement and anticipation to your thoughts, ideas, and suggestions as we plan for the next 5-10 years of transformative programming at Chanco on the James.

Deadline for response is Monday, May 24, 2021 -
so don’t delay take it NOW!
Again, thank you for your support of Chanco’s past, present, and future. Chanco is you!

In the Chanco spirit,

Nancy LeCuyer Beach
Chanco Board President
