Open to pre-readers and independent readers, up to those entering 5th grade. After you register, you may come to the library to pick up a Summer Reading Club packet. Participate in our famous scavenger hunt and weekly activities!

Note: our book review community service opportunity will be put on hold during the Summer Reading program this between June 27 and August 20.

Teen and Tween Summer Reading Program Grades 5-12.

Now through Saturday, August 20.

Registration for Summer Reading is ongoing! Pickup your Summer Reading folder at the Teen Desk and register. Participate to earn book bucks that can be redeemed in Late Summer for gift cards to local businesses. Attending teen programs will earn you one raffle ticket per event to put toward our raffle baskets pulled at our end of Summer party.


NEW: this year we will be making a Summer Reading review booklet. Each participant will (if desired) have 1 review featured. The booklet will be printed and available to look through at our end of Summer party as well as online. A copy will also be available in the Underground.

Ocean Trivia! Lawn Breathing Exercises

  • Our MAKERSPACE corner, free to use materials to make artwork and crafts!

We have a 3D Printer!


The library has a Makerbot SKETCH for free use. We are able to do small print jobs by appointment. Please contact [email protected] for more details.

Need Community Service hours? We are looking for volunteers to help with the children's Summer reading program, helping them report their books and also assisting with craft programs! Contact the Children's Department or visit the Children's desk for more details.

For Adults

For online programs, please register by 10:00pm the evening prior to the program. The Zoom link and passcode to attend the program will be sent the morning of the program and will be in the confirmation email you will receive upon registration.

Please log into programs 5-10 minutes prior to the start of the program. If you have any difficulty joining a program, please call the library at 631-692-6820.

Adult Summer Reading

Explore “Oceans of Possibilities” with us this summer! Sign up for the Adult Summer Reading program, submit your book reviews, and plan to join us for our wrap-up party on Thursday, August 11 at 7:00pm.
