A New Story Walk Book
Farewell to Shady Glade

Another month, another Story Walk. This month's book is "Farewell to Shady Glade" by Bill Peet. Unfortunately Shady Glade is being destroyed and all the animals must find a new home. Raccoon has a plan... they should take the train to find a new home.

Did you know Bill Peet was an illustrator for Walt Disney Studios? He wrote and illustrated many books and this is a good one. It is too long for our StoryWalk signs so it starts by the Library door. Start reading there and continue along the Children's Room and beyond. Read it and let us know if you like it too.
What's Happening?

NEW in our Library of Things! Borrow a record player!
Records, LPs, remember those? West Newbury resident John McGrath, a lifelong music enthusiast, generously donated a curated collection of his favorite record albums so that residents could enjoy the unique sound quality and experience of listening to vinyl records. And the Friends of the Library funded a new record player. We hope you'll enjoy these new resources.
