Michigan Vascular Center Achieves Accreditation for Prosthetics from ABC

The American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics, Inc., (ABC) has awarded accreditation to the Michigan Vascular Mobility Center in Flint, Michigan. Since initially earning accreditation in 2018, MVMC’s continued pursuit of excellence has been recognized with 3 more years of accreditation.

Since 1948 in accordance with established standards of excellent patient care, ABC has been credentialing practitioners and accrediting organizations. ABC’s mission is to establish and advocate for optimal patient care and organizational standards that deliver safe and effective orthotic, prosthetic and pedorthic services which closely aligns with Amputee Associate’s purpose. ABC facilities must meet or exceed the most rigorous standards in the industry.

ABC’s evaluation of the Michigan Vascular Center included a thorough review of the physical facility and quality of patient care. ABC’s intensive evaluation includes 360° interviews of staff and patients whilst concurrently auditing organizational documents that include patient care records. Through meticulous accreditation and certification, ABC is improving the quality of prosthetic care.

ABC Accreditation is a significant achievement that recognizes Michigan Vascular Center’s unsurpassed prosthetic patient care. The facility owners, practitioners, and administrative staff are commended for their commitment to providing quality care to their community. A BIG congratulations goes to Ken Eick and Susan Dyke for this momentous achievement! The rigorous accreditation process is a welcomed catalyst by both Ken and Sue who continually lean in for even greater improvements. Their hard work and dedication to the prosthetic clinic in earning ABC accreditation inspire us all to work harder for continual improvement in patient outcomes.
