October 13,2025

We saw some great competion on Sunday and the Valley United team did awesome!! We placed 3rd in the youth boys and won all the other races! You can see just how strong our Conference is when we come together for the Post season. Congrats to our 20 athletes that ran on the Valley United team.

Also very impressive was our Strom team, even with many of the top athletes running on the Valley United team we still were able to place well in the events!

8 and under girls - 4th place

9/10 boys 8th place

13/14 girls 3rd place

13/14 boys - 5th place

Speaking of the youth girls, most of them were sent the wrong way on the course and ended up running almost 5K!! they were very stuff!!

We have 2 more weeks of our season, so please make sure you get your athlete to practice for our fun last 2 weeks!!

We do not have a meet this Saturday, but all ahtletes will be at our final race at Central Park on October 25th. This is our Conference Championship and Storm will get to shine. there will be awards for the top 8 finishers and top 3 teams on the podium. Also ALL athletes will receive a finisher medal!! You do not want to miss this race!

Coaches Corner- Please share with your athelte!

I want to start off by saying that you all did an awesome job this week! I know some of you are bummed we didn’t get to race at Mt. Sac, but getting a second round of Pelona Vista gave us a chance to get some direct PRs from a couple weeks ago and you guys did not disappoint! We had a lot of great PRs and performances out there.

Now, looking ahead, can you believe we only have 2 weeks left in the regular season??? Neither can I, it feels like this Cross Country season has gone by super quick. This Saturday we don’t have a race, so that means we only have ONE RACE left in the normal season. ONE. That’s one last chance to get a PR, one last chance to catch the person you’ve been aiming for all season, one last chance to leave everything out on the course and have a season you can look back on with satisfaction. Since we have two weeks to prepare for this race, make sure you take extra care to make it the best possible race you can. That means showing up to all the practices and giving the workouts your all. That also means staying dedicated outside of practice; avoid all the sicknesses going around at school, make sure you are getting enough sleep and healthy food, and don’t do any activites that can get you injured. If you can be diligent these last two weeks, I promise the results at the Championship meet will not disappoint you. Let’s finish this season strong!

Parent Reflection for races and practice

We try to make every race great and most of the time we do! This week the Youth girls were sent on a longer course by accident, The monitors had switched out and the new one were not yet in place, so most of them went the wrong way! The youth girls ran a 4.68 K and did fabulous. This is almost a 5K!! Well at least they will be ready for High School!!

Everyone did awesome on this very tuff course!!

Practice Time - It is starting to get darker much quicker now. It is very important that you try to get your athletes to practice on time ready to run so we will not be running in the dark!

Please remember to take them to the restroom before practice.

As there weather is getting cooler please send warm-ups with the athletes to practice

Lost and Found- Last week I picked up a lot of water bottles and sweatshirts! Please make sure your athletes pick up their items before leaving practice!!
