In a blatant violation of international law and its 1947 hosting agreement, the US government has blocked numerous countries from participating in events at the UN headquarters in New York City. The Biden administration is banning Russian diplomats, while the Trump administration illegally prohibited top officials from Venezuela and Iran. On the evening of September 20, 2001, then-President George W. Bush addressed the American public and laid the political, military and ideological groundwork for the “war on terror,” ...  ...In this address, Bush promised what followed would not be an age of terror, but “an age of liberty, here and across the world.” Twenty-one years after September 11, this “age of liberty” has ushered in an expanded surveillance apparatus, bloated defense budgets, military invasions and occupations, and the death and displacement of millions of people from Iraq to Somalia. While the Middle East is seen as the locus of the war on terror, one of the most ruthlessly pummeled frontiers of this war is the African continent. In 2007, in a post-9/11 political and psychological landscape, President Bush and Donald Rumsfeld, then secretary of defense, launched U.S. Africa Command (AFRICOM), which oversees all Department of Defense military operations on the continent in order to “monitor and disrupt violent extremist organizations and protect U.S. interests” because of the continent’s growing strategic importance. Let’s Stop Pretending America Is a Functioning Democracy Chris Hedges

There is a fatal disconnect between a political system that promises democratic equality and freedom while carrying out socioeconomic injustices that result in grotesque income inequality and political stagnation. Decades in the making, this disconnect has extinguished American democracy. The steady stripping away of economic and political power was ignored by a hyperventilating press that thundered against the barbarians at the gate — Osama bin Laden, Saddam Hussein, the Taliban, ISIS, Vladimir Putin — while ignoring the barbarians in our midst. The slow-motion coup is over. Corporations and the billionaire class have won. There are no institutions, including the press, an electoral system that is little more than legalized bribery, the imperial presidency, the courts or the penal system, that can be defined as democratic. Only the fiction of democracy remains. The political philosopher Sheldon Wolin in Democracy Incorporated: Managed Democracy and the Specter of Inverted Totalitarianism calls our system “inverted totalitarianism.” The façade of democratic institutions and the rhetoric, symbols and iconography of state power have not changed. 9/11 and the Twin Towers:  How the TV Networks Hid the Truth Graeme MacQueen and Ted Walter

DWF NEWS Editor:  The fact that explosives, not (jet fuel) fire, brought down the Twin Towers is critical. It proves that the public was lied to. The 9/11 Commission Report can't be trusted. The evidence suggests a hypothesis that highly explosive nanothermite was previously planted along the buildings' frames, and the subsequent explosions after the planes hit the towers dropped them, not fire.   A nanothermite operation to prepare the buildings to fall was too technical and complex for the hijackers to have done it. Multiple analyses from 9/11 researchers make clear that 9/11 was not a simple hijacking, but a highly sophisticated false flag attack. The perpetrators had to have expert skills and technical resources in order to design and implemented 9/11. Those who did it were most likely rogue elements from within the US government, Israel, and Saudi Arabia. If this hypothesis of an inside job is true, the real perpetrators of 9/11 remain among us, protected by corrupt public and private authorities in an ongoing cover-up.  -- R. RESEARCH REPORT: EXTRACTS FROM ARCHITECTS & ENGINEERS 9/11 TRUTH:  "In this article, we shall concentrate not on reporters in the field, as in Part 1, but on the news anchors and their guests who were tasked with discovering and making sense of what was happening. As we trace the supplanting of the explosion hypothesis with the fire-induced collapse hypothesis, we witness the great shift toward what quickly became the Official Narrative."   In the 21 years since the attacks took place, it has been proven beyond all reasonable doubt, we believe, that the Official Narrative is false." We may summarize our findings on the 9/11 psychological operation by listing nine of the major propaganda elements at play that day.   First, however, let us remember a central fact lying beneath and behind the nine elements — namely, that on 9/11 television was used to evoke shock and confusion in U.S. citizens, and in citizens around the world, by transmitting the horrific images of the day. No words, no analysis, can compete with the images of the airplane strikes, the disintegrating towers, and the shocked reactions of people on the scene.  Such shock ensures that critical thinking will be at a low ebb, while old loyalties and a desire to pull together in the face of violence will be very powerful.  Identify the chosen perpetrator quickly. (Jon Scott on Fox News names Bin Laden approximately 42 seconds after the second airplane strike.) Repeat this suspect’s name very frequently, not allowing any other possibility to compete. (Fox News carried at least 56 important mentions of Bin Laden and CNN carried at least 69 in the hours of news coverage we studied.) Make a variety of claims and suggestions about the perpetrator that make his/her guilt appear likely — no actual evidence necessary — and intimate that intelligence sources are, somewhere behind the curtain, building a strong case that we will eventually see. Make strategic use of selected “experts.” If news anchors are toying with heretical hypotheses about the destruction of the Twin Towers, bring building professionals in to set them straight — as before, no actual evidence is necessary. Normalize the abnormal. Make it seem as if it is natural that this massive and complex operation could have been carried out by Bin Laden’s crew, and do not mention the state organizations far more suited to the task.  To study the day’s events as they unfolded on television is to experience in a shockingly direct way how a well-oiled propaganda system — of which television is a central component — can spin grand and lethal yarns that silence the citizens who experience, who witness, who suffer, and who constitute the epistemic backbone of democracy. The ability of this propaganda system to achieve the triumph of the Official Narrative in a matter of hours suggests to us that while good science is necessary for dispelling the Official Narrative, alone it may not be sufficient... ...in cases such as 9/11, researchers are working within an intellectual context shaped by an intelligent opponent...  ... The problem of a deeply corrupt government poses a challenge to honest citizens. When your government is suspected of committing a crime, but refuses to provide an independent investigation, you are stuck. See https://www.ae911truth.org   There is no where else to turn. What about the United Nations?     There is an UN Office of Drugs and Crime which states its responsibilities include "accountable criminal justice responses to terrorism." Could UNODC investigate the U.S. government if the evidence points at 9/11 being an "inside job"? (Probably not. The UN, the UNODC, the World Court, and the ICC lack independent enforcement powers.)   This is the situation in the U.S. when the 9/11 Commission Report appeared to be a cover-up as explained and documented by the brilliant Dr. David Ray Griffen ("The 9/11 Commission Report - Omissions and Distortions," 2005).     The September 11, 2001 attack, blamed on the alleged hijackers, became the excuse for the U.S. government's out-of-control "war on terror" with wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and elsewhere.  If it is true that 9/11 was an "inside job", then the rogue elements from within the government who launched 9/11, can themselves be considered the real "terrorists."    To this day the government's cover story (narrative) is that "19 Muslim hijackers" did it -- al-Qaeda terrorists directed by Osama bin Laden. The attack's "mastermind" was attributed to Kahlid Sheikh Mohammed, detained at Guantanamo Bay where he was relentlessly tortured (probably to obtain a false confession).   In my personal opinion, the evidence is so overwhelming that the US government's 9/11 narrative is false, that when journalists continue to parrot it, I wince. A highly complex operation conducted by 19 Muslim hijackers? Absurd.   In reality, the degree of complexity of 9/11 points to a highly sophisticated false flag operation, conducted by powerfully corrupt insiders and their allies. A "false flag" means that the blame is directed to others (Muslims), not to the real perpetrators (inside job).   Repeated calls by 9/11 researchers for a new investigation have been ignored. Why?  If 9/11 really was an inside job, then a deeply corrupt government would not want to have an objective investigation. Frankly, I feel that the 9/11 Commission Report was like asking a criminal enterprise to investigate itself.         I believe that there is ample justification to argue that there has been heavy censorship on 9/11 truth researchers and onging attempts to discredit them. A BYU (Mormon) professor, for example, who identified nanothermite explosives at the site gets fired. I'm guessing he was naive about the politics of finding nanothermite evidence...and BYU got scared pressured by the Bush regime, so they fired him. See https://www.ae911truth.org   Another attempt by the government to discredit truth researchers is by claiming they are "crazy," "tin hats," or "conspiracy theorists."    The 9/11 researchers I met are not only not crazy, they are highly intelligent and psychologically healthier than the average person. These folks are strong and smart, and have integrity.
