The GENIUS Initiative is seeking schools ready to advance educational equity and student success. Led by Los Angeles, Kings, and Sonoma County Offices of Education, this statewide initiative partners with schools to address disparities in academic outcomes and build stronger, more inclusive learning environments.

- Statements of Interest (SOI) Due: Friday, September 5, 2025, by 11:59 PM PT
- Notification of Selection: October 2025
- GENIUS Virtual Orientation: Fall 2025

Tier I Institute: July 22nd-24th, 2025 and January 12th-14th, 2026 (note: attendance is only required at one Tier I Institute)
đź‘Ą Who Should Apply?
- All PreK–12 public school sites and charter schools are eligible
- Priority given to schools receiving Equity Multiplier Funding
- Schools committed to addressing racial disparities and improving student outcomes
🔑 Participation Criteria
- Commitment to building belonging and addressing disparities
- Partnership with GENIUS Leads to use data for improvement
- Active participation in professional learning, coaching, and collaborative planning
- District leadership support (superintendent or designee)
