2024 Board Workshop

Strategy Planning for a Brighter Future

Reflecting on Progress and Charting the Course: Gresham Chamber's Board Workshop

Last week, the Gresham Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors convened after the morning Board Meeting for an intensive 4 hour workshop. With sleeves rolled up and minds focused, the dedicated members delved into evaluating the organization's trajectory, dissecting where it has been, and envisioning where it aims to go.

The workshop was a collective effort to distill insights that would propel the Gresham Chamber forward, making it not just good, but the best it can possibly be.

The atmosphere was one of collaboration and commitment, with each Board Member bringing valuable perspectives to the table.

Their time and input were invaluable, reflecting a shared dedication to the Chamber's mission and the community it serves.

As we move forward, we extend our sincerest gratitude to the Board Members for their dedication and invaluable contributions. Together, we are poised to navigate the future with clarity and purpose, ensuring that the Gresham Chamber continues to thrive and serve as a beacon of opportunity for all.

Chamber Members:

We want to hear from you!

Give us your feedback on Friday AM's!

Those who have been a part of the chamber for several years, you know that Friday AM Networking events used to

PACK. A. HOUSE.

As in-person gatherings have gradually resumed over the past couple of years, the Gresham Chamber of Commerce acknowledges that attendance numbers have yet to return to pre-pandemic levels. In an effort to understand and address this trend, the Chamber is actively seeking input from its members through a brief survey.

To ensure that all members' needs are met and that networking opportunities remain vibrant, the Chamber is eager to hear from its community. The survey seeks feedback on the morning meetings, probing whether alternative options should be considered to accommodate diverse schedules and preferences.

Please take a few minutes to complete the short and anonymous survey below. There are a handful of multiple-choice questions, but there is space for you to voice your opinion... now is your time to be heard!

DIY Organization Tip #3: Make sure your personal and business banking is separate! Accidents happen, but running them simultaneously can get messy when figuring out tax write-offs.

Are there restrictions on how I can use the money?

No. It’s your money. You can spend it as you wish.

Stay Connected: Keep your loved ones informed about your travel plans. Share your itinerary with someone back home. Check with your phone provider for out of country phone service and charges before you leave.

Inclusive Policies: Regularly review and update company policies to ensure inclusivity and compliance with Oregon's anti-discrimination laws.

STAND PROPERLY TIP #1: To relieve spine pressure from standing all day, try standing with one foot slightly ahead of the other and keeping your knees bent. Also, keep head level so shoulders and earlobes are aligned.

Threads Cliffhanger: End your thread with a teaser for the next one. It's like a Netflix series finale—leave your audience eagerly anticipating the next installment. Build anticipation, one thread at a time!

10 TOP ESCAPES TO MT. HOOD AND THE GORGE

Jen Anderson, Author

For thousands of years, native Wasco, Wishram and Chinook tribes inhabited these lands, forming trail networks and trading cultures around the majestic peaks and productive rivers. Just 175 years ago, Oregon Trail settlers navigated across the rocky foothills of Mt. Hood to make home in the Willamette Valley. Some 70 years later, hundreds of laborers built the Historic Columbia River Highway — the first planned scenic highway in the United States.

Today the Mt. Hood and Columbia River Gorge region still calls for exploration and appreciation. Its wild beauty continues to inspire awe and wonder — in its lush forests, mighty rivers, towering waterfalls, deep canyons, heritage orchards and beyond.

Unsure where to start? Luckily, we have it mapped out for you. Here’s how to soak up all Mt. Hood and the Columbia River Gorge region has to offer in 10 blissful trips.
