On August 18, 1966, American Honda Employees Federal Credit Union was born in Gardena, California. It was created to meet the financial needs of associates who worked at the local Honda facility, as well as their families. By 1985, their organization had grown to a membership of 4,500 and was renamed to Honda Federal Credit Union. In the years since, Honda FCU has opened multiple branches nationwide and introduced the ability to bank by telephone, computer and smart device.
