2025 Clergy Compensation Reports Now Due

Opportunities

The Presbytery of Arkansas is partnering with Ferncliff Camp & Conference Center to host a Playology workshop on Tuesday, May 20th, from 9:30 AM until 3:30 PM at Ferncliff. Re:create, the parent organization of Playology, partners with churches and organizations to host these community-building events. At this workshop, experienced leaders will conduct workshops focused on integrating recreation into ministry. This workshop will be invaluable for pastors, educators, children and youth leaders, and volunteers. Participants will gain practical tools and ideas on creativity, teamwork, and spiritual growth to implement in worship, Bible study, fellowship activities and more. Click here to learn more and register!

The next REM (Ruling Elders in Ministry) will be June 6-7 at the University of the Ozarks and will have 2 separate tracks. For newcomers or those who wish to refresh, we will offer our annual introduction to preaching and officiating at the Lord’s Table. Participants who complete this track will be eligible for approval by the Committee on Ministry to officiate at the table in their church of membership.

For those who attend REM regularly, our second track will focus on modernizing your church’s decision making structure, and preaching 2.0.

REM is offered completely free of charge and is offered through the Thriving in Rural Ministry program at the University of the Ozarks. If you have questions contact the Rev. Phillip Blackburn at pblackburn@ozarks.edu.

A Correction from Ferncliff - Ferncliff recently provided churches with information about camp and related events and part of that info was a sheet with QR codes that can be used in bulletin blurbs. It was later discovered that some (or all) of the printed QR codes do not link to the correct place. Click here for the corrected QR codes.

Grants

Mission of The Church Grants - The deadline for this year's first round of MOC grants is Tuesday, April 15. Dream big about the mission work your church/Presbyterian organization might undertake this year and let the MOC help you realize your dream by awarding you a grant of up to $1,500.

Click here for information about registering. Direct questions to committee moderator, Peg Falls-Corbitt.
