Faces of ABLE2

Vaughn and Russ have been matched since 2018 and consider each other as true friends.

They love to go to movies, sports events like Redblacks and Sens games, museums, and walks, all with a mandatory stop for a coffee at Tim Horton’s.

Vaughn considers Russ, a real friend. He says, “we get on well, we talk about things, he helps me with practical things, and I trust him like my brother.”

Russ looks forward to his meetings with Vaughn. He views Vaughn as his good friend and says they talk about what is going on in their lives.

In May this year, the pair shared their story with Graham Richardson at Evening in the Maritimes.

Thank you, Russ and Vaughn.

Volunteer with the Matching Program

Anika & Liv

The pandemic has affected many people and organizations. ABLE2 is no exception. We are now in the rebuilding phase and need more volunteer Allies to support people with disabilities in our Matching Program.

Please encourage your family and friends to volunteer and empower those with disabilities to build lives of meaning and joy.
