Over the weeks, we are grateful to hear updates from community members as they come for produce bags. To name a few, shoutouts to the Uber driver who went from being unemployed to being cleared to return to work, to the UPS worker who chanced upon us one week and came back for bags the next time, and to the residents who delivered copies of The Fenway News for other neighbors to take home with their bags! Congress created a "Look-back Provision" under the most recent stimulus. Individuals may elect to use their 2019 earned income to calculate their 2020 EITC if their 2019 earned income is more than their 2020 earned income. Find out more here.
Residents should bring a copy of their 2019 taxes with them to the tax appointment, whether with the Boston Tax Help Coalition or any other preparer, to ensure they get the largest EITC credit possible. Learn more here.
