Enter Youth Contests

The GVHS Youth Speech Contest is an opportunity for GVHS Youth Members to compete and show off communications and public speaking skills. The event is centered around the horse world, encompassing a wide variety of topics.

All presentation subjects must pertain to the horse industry, or be horse related, and be original and factual. The presentation may be a demonstration or illustrated talk. Presentations cannot involve the use of live animals; however, model animals may be used.

All contestants must register online by January 1st, 2024.

The GVHS Youth Art Auction is a great way for GVHS Youth Members to demonstrate their creative abilities. Artists may create artwork featuring the Gypsy Vanner Horse, compete to win a gift certificate and have their artwork on display during the Annual Meeting and featured in the Vanner Jr Magazine. Artists will be divided into two age divisions, 12 & under, and 13 thru 18. Enter today!

All young artists must register online by January 1st, 2024. Artwork must be received by the GVHS no later than February 1st.

Sugar Hill Acres

Sugar Hill Acres is located in Hebron, NY. We selectively breed for quality in all facets. We have produced multiple National Champions, Supreme Champions and a Congress Champion.

Our Gypsy Vanners have been in the top 10 for GVHS year-end points since 2018. Our emphasis is on health, type, conformation, movement and disposition. We strive for powerful, sturdy Gypsy Vanners with proper conformation, traditional style, abundant, luxurious hair & feather with outstanding, intelligent, calm, kind dispositions.

We keep a selective herd in order to provide the proper care and attention our horses deserve. Our horses are a part of our family. We are anxiously awaiting our 2024 foals- we have some outstanding pairings for those looking for their next performance and halter champion.
