🍂 Fall into October!
As October arrives and the fall season settles in, I'm pleased to share the latest community updates, important reminders, and upcoming events happening throughout La Cima.
This month’s announcement includes information on neighborhood activities, community events, HOA reminders, and other updates to help keep residents informed and connected. I encourage you to take a few moments to review the information below and mark your calendars for upcoming events and activities.
HOLIDAY LIGHTING REMINDER
As the holiday season approaches, please remember the community guidelines regarding the installation and removal of holiday lighting.
Section 6.11 of the Master Design Guidelines states:
“Holiday lighting may not be installed more than twenty-one (21) days before a holiday and must be removed no more than fourteen (14) days after the holiday.”
Please ensure that all holiday lights are installed and removed within the timeframes outlined above. This helps maintain consistency with the community’s design standards and keeps the neighborhood looking well maintained.
📢 HOA Assessment Reminder
A friendly reminder that the 4th quarter La Cima Master Community HOA assessment was due October 1, 2026, in the amount of $195.
Assessments are billed quarterly and are due January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
If you have an automatic payment scheduled, please confirm that your payment amount is set to $195 to ensure your assessment is paid in full and on time. Payments can be made through TownSq, by bank bill pay, or by mail. Homeowners may also opt in to electronic statements through Goodwin & Company. https://goodwin-co.com/estatements/
📢 Golf Carts
The La Cima Community Association would like to remind residents that golf carts are not permitted to be driven on sidewalks and cannot be parked on common area landscape.
Under Texas Transportation Code § 545.422, a motor vehicle may not be driven on a sidewalk, sidewalk area, or hike-and-bike trail, except when crossing at a permanent or authorized temporary driveway. Texas law also specifically defines a golf cart as a motor vehicle under Texas Transportation Code § 551.401.
Residents are also reminded that golf carts are not automatically permitted on every neighborhood street. Texas Transportation Code Chapter 551 includes specific requirements and limitations regarding where golf carts may be operated on public roadways. This is particularly important within our community, as some La Cima streets have posted speed limits of 40 mph.
For everyone's safety, please:
-
Do not operate golf carts on sidewalks or hike-and-bike trails.
- Use designated roadways only where golf cart operation is legally permitted.
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and posted speed limits.
- Be mindful of pedestrians, cyclists, and other residents sharing our community streets and pathways.
We appreciate everyone's cooperation in helping maintain a safe environment for pedestrians, motorists, cyclists, and golf cart operators throughout La Cima.
