Greetings!

Our first celebration we would like to share with you is delivery of our Community Bridges Programming, Farm-2-Table (F2T).

The very first F2T class was piloted with two Williams Elementary School (WES) teachers in the 2016-17 Academic Year. Then principal, Kris Maleske, approved Mr. Huddleston's and Ms. Bratton's first grade students to participate in the monthly F2T classes. The following year, all WES first grade students were bussed to our newly renovated Teaching Kitchen and Fit-2-Serve facility. In 2018-19, we achieved our goal to deliver F2T programming to both Williams and Riddle Elementary Schools.

Classes delivered: 78 total . . . 220 students monthly

Volunteer Hours: 1135 total . . . 142 monthly

Our team of volunteers made this Community Bridges viable! Kudos to Carolyn Carcasi, former F2S board member, who stepped up to help lead the F2T program. Without her support, it would have been very challenging to deliver programming each month.

EIU's Civic Engagement and Volunteerism did a wonderful job in recruiting students. Dr. Krystal Lynch incorporated the F2T service learning opportunity into her curriculum, providing students who were so engaged in working with the youth.

Mattoon Family YMCA has been a long-standing partner to F2S over the years. Their commitment continued through the entire AY, often covering last-minute needs for volunteer spots!

Truth and Grace Fellowship 'adopted' a class and sent a team of volunteers each month.

Legacy Roofing and Pilson Auto Centers provided a team of employees each month.

As the year was wrapping up, American Realty, First Baptist & First Christian churches committed to sending volunteers.

Celebrating . . . graduation

At the end of each Academic Year, all students are presented with a chef's hat and certificate celebrating the completion of Farm-2-Table. Mr. Kris Maleske joined our team to congratulate and hand out certificates to each and every student. It was a great way to end the year!
