“You've got to know when to hold 'em
Know when to fold 'em
Know when to walk away
And know when to run
You never count your money
When you're sittin' at the table
There'll be time enough for countin'
When the dealin's done”
Kenny Rogers

These iconic lyrics to Kenny Rogers’ song “The Gambler” totally fit the theme for MPI Tennessee and the month of May.
You see, we have this incredible event called the Annual Gala & Awards Celebration coming up on May 20 at Saint Elle in Nashville. The theme is Glitz. Glamour. Gaming. It’s going to be such a fantastic time, so be sure to look for the registration link down below in this newsletter. I’m also very excited to find out who won our chapter awards; we had so many excellent nominations. Thank you to everyone who has donated their time, expertise and items to making this vision a reality!
We also took a “gamble” recently and went to Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Resort in Cherokee, NC for our annual board retreat. I can honestly say the space is incredible! Many thanks to Harrah’s for your generous support!
Last month our pinnacle education event, CONNECT, drew some of the best speakers in the business. “Friends” Patrick Nelson, Melissa Majors and Rachel Sheerin gave us some valuable insight and tips for building resilience during turbulent times, becoming a more inclusive leader and letting go of what is bringing you down. My deep appreciation to Tara Henderson who organized everything for this event, and the following sponsors for their generosity: Country Music Hall of Fame, Analog, Abigail Volkmann Photography, Gary Musick Productions, Anzie Blue, Hip Hues, TN Event Designs/Health, Hayes Street Hotel, Redstory and Melissa Majors Consulting.
Get your bids ready! The silent auction is LIVE, so be sure to visit the Givergy website and check out the wonderful donations. Don’t forget to buy a wine or whiskey pull ticket, and feel free to share the website link with your friends and family too. I know I can count on my sister every single year because she loves to bid, and more importantly, win! Remember, all money raised goes towards our education and scholarship programs.
Also, don’t forget to register for WEC in Las Vegas. Dates are June 15 – 17 at Caesar’s Palace. June 23 is our next educational event. We’ll be swearing in our new board, so be sure to put that down on your calendar too. Registration information will be coming shortly.
Thanks to all of you for “rolling the dice” and being part of the MPI Tennessee family! Don’t forget that the board and I are always available should you have a question, concern or just want to talk.
