June Discussion Circle Dates - Special General Conference 2026

The Governing Board has voted to hold a Special General Conference on 10th October 2026. The only items for consideration at this online Business Meeting will be the recommendations from the Commission on General Conference.

Discussion Circles are an extremely valuable way that you can give feedback on bylaw proposals, motions and other items of business, in a less formal setting, before the Special General Conference. Anyone involved in MCC can participate in the Discussion Circles. However it is particularly important that Lay Delegates, Clergy and other delegates with vote and/or voice attend at least one Discussion Circle. Items to be discussed will be sent out in a Discussion Pack by 1st June, prior to the Discussion Circles starting.

Final Chance to Give to Easter Appeal 2026 – Doing Justice

To date, UFMCC has raised $6,813.59 for the Easter Appeal 2026 – Doing Justice — making this our most successful Easter Appeal in more than a decade. We are deeply grateful to every individual and church that has already responded with generosity, compassion, and a commitment to justice.

We proclaim the resurrection: the triumph of life over death, hope over despair, and love over fear. But resurrection is not only a story we remember — it is a promise we live out whenever we choose justice, mercy, and action in the world around us.

Because of your support, MCC can continue responding wherever justice is needed: accompanying marginalized communities, advocating for dignity and human rights, and bringing hope to people facing oppression, poverty, and exclusion.

There is still time to be part of this movement.

Pride Month Resources

June is Pride Month for much of the world, it is a time to honour the history, resilience, and contributions of LGBTQ+ people, while also recognising the ongoing journey toward equality, dignity, and inclusion. As we prepare to celebrate Pride Month, we give thanks for the diversity of God’s creation and the dignity of every person.

Lay Delegates Workshop

Lay Delegates are invited to join a special workshop this June, focused on the upcoming Special General Conference and Discussion Circle process. This workshop will provide space to ask questions, discuss key topics from the Discussion Circles, and better understand the process leading up to the October 10, 2026 Special General Conference.

This workshop is specifically for MCC Lay Delegates, and Zoom details will be emailed to registered delegates prior to the gathering. If you have not yet completed the Lay Delegate registration form, whether you are newly elected, re-elected, or continuing to serve, please be sure to register so you receive workshop updates and communication.

MCC Representatives Join International Queer Alliance Christian Conference 2026 in Taiwan

Representatives from the Metropolitan Community Churches (MCC) joined affirming faith leaders, theologians, and believers from across Asia and the world for the International Queer Alliance Christian Conference (IQACC), held from May 1–3, 2026, at the Taipei Innovation City Convention Center.

On May 8-10-21, 2026, twelve lay leaders from North America gathered at Church of the Trinity MCC, Sarasota, FL, USA, for the fifteenth North American (NA) LEAD retreat, pursuing a certificate in the UFMCC Laity Empowered for Active Discipleship (LEAD) Program.

European LEAD Launch Retreat – Vienna, Austria

Many people across MCC in Europe have expressed a desire for deeper leadership development opportunities for lay leaders. In response, a new European LEAD (Laity Empowered for Active Discipleship) cohort is being launched.

The European LEAD Launch Retreat will take place this August in Vienna, Austria, alongside the European Network Gathering. This one-day retreat marks the beginning of a year-long leadership journey designed to support lay leaders in growing their faith, strengthening leadership skills, and serving their churches more deeply.

Those interested in being part of this first European cohort are invited to complete an interest form.
