Merry Christmas

What are some Cenacle Sisters' prayers for our New Year, 2022?

Sr. Margaret Rhode: May you and your loved ones remain in good health, in 2022.

Sr. Kathryn Madden: To living into Cenacle life, full of things that have never been, and to welcoming five new little ones into my family....

Sr. Marguerite Gautreau: I look forward to the surprises and challenges of 2022 at Resurrection Village and pray that God blesses me with the energy and insight to be as positive a presence as possible in my new setting.

May your days be filled with peace, hope, and joy this holiday season. May the new year bring new graces and gifts into your life.

As always, thank you for your presence, prayers, and support.

In the love and joy of the Incarnate Christ,

Writing Your Spiritual Autobiography: Reflecting upon "Your Infinitely Rich Life."

January 12, 2022

1:00 PM Central

Facilitator: Dr. Deborah Lee Prescott (Cenacle Auxiliary)

During our time together, we will use the wisdom of Thomas Merton and T.S. Eliot as a foundation and inspiration.

Spiritual observations from other writers will augment our process. Thinking about your life is worthwhile. You can write your spiritual autobiography. You have a story to tell. We can’t guarantee who might read your autobiography, but the act of contemplating the gift that is your life has intrinsic value. The retreat will provide the structure, prompts, and time to begin (or continue) writing your spiritual autobiography as a response to God’s invitation.

"Is What I am Doing Agreeable to God?"

January 26, 2022

10:00 AM Central

Facilitator: Dr. Deborah Lee Prescott (Cenacle Auxiliary)

As Christians, we turn to the Holy Trinity to restore our faith and peace. As Catholics, we turn to the examples of holy women and men who have gone before us. In this workshop, we will learn from three Catholics who were caught in the grip of Nazi oppression and who were recognized by the Church as martyrs of the 20th century: Edith Stein, Franz Jagerstatter, and Willi Graf.

The facilitator is a scholar and author on the Holocaust and shares her insights and knowledge throughout this retreat.

claiming your faith in a broken church:

a panel discussion

February 22, 2022

6 - 8pm Eastern / 5 - 7 Central

An evening of dialogue among Catholics who hear, see, and stand in solidarity with those who struggle with church. Heeding Pope Francis' words of being a listening Church, panelists Kerry Campbell and Karen Kiefer will present, and respond to registrants in a Q-and-A format.

This event is a judgment-free space for all. Those who have been struggling with or experiencing frustration from Church or whose faith is an experience of a "dark night of the soul," are highly encouraged to participate.
