Sermon Notes

Gratitude

We are excited to continue our sermon series about gratitude. In this 4-week series, we will explore the importance of being thankful for what we have rather than dwelling on what we lack. Gratitude is a crucial component of living an abundant life that Jesus promises. We will delve into the principles of gratitude and how they relate to our faith. Most importantly, we will discover how gratitude is beautifully displayed in our response to the free gift of God, his son Jesus. We invite you to join us for this enlightening and transformative series on gratitude.

The Christmas Kindness tree is now available in the foyer. This is our way of showing Christ's love to families in need during this holiday season. We encourage you to visit the tree and take a tag off it. Once you have taken a tag, please record the details on the paper provided.

We kindly request that you spend up to $50 per tag and bring the items with the tag unwrapped. Please place the items under the Christmas Kindness tree by December 3rd. We appreciate your generosity and support in making this initiative a success.

Thank you for your kindness and Merry Christmas!

Legacy Sunday

November 26, 2023

We invite you to join us for Legacy Sunday, which falls on the last Sunday of November every year. This is a special time of year when we remember and honor all those who have passed away in the past year. It is also an opportunity for us to promote our endowment fund, which is a permanent source of funding for expanding the reach of God's kingdom through Beaverton Nazarene and into the world. By contributing to the endowment fund, we can ensure that our mission of spreading God's love and compassion continues for generations to come. Let us take this time to reflect on the legacy of our loved ones and the impact we can make through our collective efforts. Praise God for all of these opportunities.

Join us this December for our special Christmas sermon series, Spirit of Christmas. We will explore the present, past, and future of Christmas, with a focus on celebrating the true meaning of the holiday season. On December 10th, we are excited to welcome special guests Rev. Mark Moore and Pastor Jacob Salem to our service. Following the 11:00 service, we will gather for a delicious lunch in the fellowship hall, prepared by our missions team. This lunch will also serve as a fundraiser to support our upcoming mission trip to Africa. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to come together in fellowship and celebrate the Spirit of Christmas.

Support Link for Chris and Cassidy Miller

We are thrilled to announce that our beloved members, Chris and Cassidy Miller, have volunteered to go on a mission trip to Africa Nazarene University, sponsored by the Northern Michigan District Church of the Nazarene. Their passion for serving the Lord has also led them to apply to become full-time missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene. As a church family, it is our responsibility to support them in prayer and finances. Therefore, on December 10th, we will be taking up a special offering for Chris and Cassidy to aid them in their missionary journey. Please join us in prayer and consider contributing to this worthy cause.

Chris and Cassidy Miller, along with our mission department, will be hosting an African themed meal after church on December 10th. This event is intended to promote and inform everyone about their upcoming mission trip to Africa.

Stellar Christmas

We are thrilled to invite you to Stellar Christmas, an interactive Christmas program that is truly out of this world! On December 17th at 11:00am, come and witness the incredible talents of our community children as they sing and give a stellar performance. The event will take place at the Beaverton Activity Center, located at 106 Tonkin St, Beaverton, MI 48612. Prepare to be amazed as our young stars light up the stage and fill the air with holiday cheer. Don't miss out on this unforgettable Christmas experience. Mark your calendars and join us for Stellar Christmas!

The 11:00am Sunday Service will be broadcasted live and archived on our church Facebook Page.
