CHOIR NEWS

Dear Parents and Children 3 year olds - 5th grade,

Sunday, October 4 we will meet at 9:30 for our 1st "Made for Praise" Choir Rehearsal! We will meet in the Children's Music Room Come and bring a friend as we begin making music together and start learning musical offerings to present during Worship.

Parents, for us to present musicals, and Christmas pageants, as well as singing in Worship at least once a month, we need more time! Eventually, we can look at a Sunday afternoon stand alone program that combines a Christian Education event with the music rehearsal. Until then, what about extra time together on the Second Sunday Lunch? Perhaps the children could eat quickly, and we could gain another 1/2 hour as parents enjoy coffee and dessert. It is just a thought, and I look forward to your feedback.

Thank you for the opportunity to work with your children, and teach them songs with a message of God's love they can carry in their hearts forever..

I can't wait to see you all on Sunday, October 4 at 9:30!

with peace, love and joy,

Ms. Nancy

Director of Music

Calling all Musicians!

Choir Rehearsals with Nancy Smith: You are invited to joyfully join in the Sanctuary Choir and make some very joyful music to the Lord! Soprano, Alto, Tenor, Bass, every part is important as we join together in harmony to present beautiful music to the glory of God. Our rehearsals begin on Wednesday, October 4 at 6:30 PM. Let's fill the Choir Room! We will be working on music for upcoming worship services as well as for our Celtic Lessons and Carols on Sunday, December 20th. Beautiful Celtic carols accompanied by strings, timpani and bagpipes, a not-to-be-missed music program! Please prayerfully consider sharing your time and talent. As St. Augustine said, "those who sing, pray twice." And we all need more prayer.

The Handbell Choir will begin Wednesday night rehearsals on October 7 from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m.

If you're interested in taking part in GSPC's music ministry, please email Nancy Smith.
