SEASON OPENING
Our recreational season games began this past weekend! We were thrilled to see so many kids, volunteer coaches and families back on the fields!

COACHES CLINIC
We had a great turn out for our volunteer rec coaches clinic instructed by United States Soccer Federation "A" license coaches, Trip Dunville and Akram Molaka. If you were unable to attend, you can view the clinic HERE.

YOUTH REFEREES
Our rec program is still looking for energetic players age 12 and up to help with refereeing our younger players. Please contact Dustin for more information!!
Alumni Corner
Former FC Richmond Magic players Cory Hogge and Will Collins, helped the Christopher Newport University Men's soccer team in a hard fought battle against the University of Lynchburg. They played against FC Richmond Pro23 player, Luke Mega, from Lynchburg Men's soccer team. Cory Hogge tied up the game with just five seconds left on the clock with his first goal of the season. Read more about these standout players HERE.
Cookies for Kids' Cancer Bake Sale
FC Richmond has been a long-time supporter of Cookies for Kids' Cancer. We will be hosting a bake sale at the rec games at Robious Middle School on Saturday, September 25th from 9am-1pm. Please stop by the table to check out all of the delicious goodies and make a donation if you are able. Some of our players will be volunteering for Cookies for Kids' Cancer bake sales all around Richmond including several Walmart locations. You can also donate to Cookies for Kids' Cancer HERE.

Partnership with the
Center for Physical Therapy & Sports Medicine
FC Richmond is pleased to announce a new partnership with the Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine and its President, Dr. Rich Linkonis! Dr. Linkonis graduated from the University of Mary Washington where he also played on the Men’s Soccer Team. He went on to Physical Therapy school at Marymount University and earned his Doctorate of Physical Therapy from MCV/VCU. Dr. Linkonis and the team of Physical Therapists at CPTSM are committed to individualized care for each person to restore function and return to normal activities.

All the Physical Therapists at The Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine are Direct Access Certified so players do not need a referral or prescription to be seen directly at CPTSM. Dr. Linkonis has committed to seeing our athletes at their southside location same day if possible, or on the next business day. Additionally, initial assessments for injuries other than concussions will be no cost for our players. Dr. Linkonis has relationships with several sports medicine doctors in the area and can refer our athletes directly to them if the injury requires the care of an orthopedic doctor.

Trip Ellis, FC Richmond Director of Coaching, said of the new partnership, "We are excited to partner with The Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine and Dr. Linkonis. This is an excellent resource for our athletes when an injury does occur. Receiving priority appointments and quality care from Rich and his team will help our players return to the field quickly and in a safer manner”.

Dr. Linkonis concurs, “I am thrilled to officially create this partnership with FC Richmond. We are dedicated to getting our patients and our patient athletes back to the activities they enjoy and sports they play. Serving Richmond for over twenty years, our caring physical therapy team will work hard to ensure the highest quality of care is received.”

To schedule an appointment at The Center for Physical Therapy and Sports Medicine, call 804-523-4634 or email Dr. Linkonis at [email protected]

If you have any questions please contact Kris South at [email protected] or Dr. Linkonis at [email protected].
