A pesar del mal clima, el público llegó con entusiasmo al Festival Argentino anual en Virginia. Queremos agradecer profundamente a cada persona que lo hizo posible: al público que no se detuvo ante la lluvia, a los artistas que entregaron su talento con pasión, y a los voluntarios, patrocinadores y expositores que hacen grande esta fiesta cultural.
Sabemos que aún hay cosas por mejorar —especialmente en la oferta gastronómica— y vamos a trabajar para sumar más apoyo y calidad en cada edición.

The rain brought moments of doubt—but also unity, resilience, and hope.

As the clouds cleared, the Argentine Festival came back to life in full force.

From thunder to applause, from rain to embrace,
el espíritu argentino se hizo sentir en cada canción, en cada bocado compartido, en cada gesto de camaradería.
Argentina’s soul shone through every song, every shared bite, every moment of togetherness.

Los Alonsitos celebran 40 años de chamamé en Estados Unidos
Con profunda emoción y orgullo, Los Alonsitos llevaron el chamamé a distintas ciudades de EE.UU., en una gira que incluyó una memorable presentación en el Festival Argentino 2024 y una visita especial a la Embajada de Argentina en Washington, D.C. Su participación fue un homenaje vivo a la cultura correntina, que vibró con fuerza en el corazón de Norteamérica.
"Volver con el chamamé es un motivo de gran orgullo", expresó Ariel Báez.
Desde la organización del festival, celebramos estos 40 años de historia musical de Los Alonsitos, embajadores de nuestra identidad cultural.
Daniel Manzoni, director del Festival Argentino, expresó:
"Tener a Los Alonsitos en el escenario del Festival fue un acto de reencuentro con nuestras raíces. El chamamé tiene el poder de unir generaciones y territorios. Gracias por traernos su música con tanta entrega y por hacer de esta gira una verdadera celebración de lo nuestro."

We are planning to see if we can do it by end of September or October gathering at home — late September — with wine, empanadas, and choripán, just as only the Festival Argentino in the USA, born in the DC area, can offer.

El Festival Argentino USA se enorgullece en anunciar la presentación de nuevos diplomas de Embajador Cultural Honorario, reconociendo a quienes promueven la cultura argentina en Estados Unidos y más allá. También se entregó por primera vez un nuevo pin oficial del Presidential Volunteer Service Award, símbolo del compromiso y la dedicación comunitaria.
Además, se otorgó una placa nacional “Sol de Mayo”, destacando la labor excepcional de instituciones y personas que fortalecen los lazos entre Argentina y los Estados Unidos.
✨ Estos reconocimientos celebran el espíritu del festival: cultura, compromiso y conexión entre pueblos.
🇺🇸 Festival Argentino USA Introduced New Cultural Diplomas and Recognitions
Festival Argentino USA proudly introduced its new Honorary Cultural Ambassador Diplomas, awarded to individuals who promote Argentine culture in the U.S. and beyond. For the first time, the official Presidential Volunteer Service Award pin was presented, symbolizing dedication and community service. In addition, the festival awarded a national "Sol de Mayo" plaque, recognizing outstanding contributions by institutions and individuals in strengthening ties between Argentina and the United States.
✨ These recognitions reflect the Festival’s mission: to celebrate culture, honor service, and build international community bonds.

Gracias por acompañarnos una vez más. Sabemos que este año hubo demoras en el inicio del servicio de comida debido a la llegada tardía del inspector sanitario, probablemente afectada por la tormenta. Esto generó retrasos y, lamentablemente, la finalización anticipada de algunos puestos alrededor de las 7:30 p.m.
Pedimos disculpas por las molestias y enviaremos una nota a las autoridades para evitar que se repita. También trabajaremos en mejorar la provisión de productos para brindar una mejor experiencia en el futuro.

Thank you for joining us once again. We’re aware there were delays in food service this year due to the late arrival of the health inspector, likely caused by the storm. This led to setbacks and, unfortunately, some food stands closing earlier than expected around 7:30 p.m.
We apologize for any inconvenience and will send a formal note to the authorities to help prevent this in the future. We’re also working to improve food supply logistics for a better experience going forward.

El pasado 30 y 31 de mayo celebramos juntos la 38ª edición del Festival Argentino USA.
Gracias por acompañarnos con tanto corazón, en la previa en la Embajada y luego en el gran escenario del Kenmore Auditorium. Fueron días de música, identidad, comunidad y orgullo argentino.

Porque si alguna vez llegamos a ser grandes, será gracias a esta comunidad.
El Festival Argentino en EE.UU. lleva casi 40 años siendo un acto de amor cultural, un puente entre dos países, y una celebración profunda de nuestras raíces compartidas.
No somos un evento masivo, pero somos consistentes. No ocupamos portadas, pero ocupamos corazones.
El Imparcial y Metro Latino USA, se hicieron eco de nuestra celebración. A ellos, nuestro más sincero agradecimiento.
