If you are a Business Data Analytics major, this is the perfect way to fulfill a major requirement and gain professional skills. All other majors, this is a great way to practice skills employers value.

UConn’s Digital Frontiers Initiative (DFI) is forming our Advisory Board for the 2025-2026 academic year. At DFI we bridge academia and industry through cutting-edge research, innovation, and partnerships. Our advisory board will help shape the future priorities of DFI. Student members gain networking opportunities with advisory board members, influence in the direction of info tech education in CT, and will receive a $500 scholarship. You will be required to attend four Advisory Board meetings (two in-person and two virtual meetings) and be expected to take notes and contribute your insights during them. 

Applications are open until 11:59 pm on June 1, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted. To apply, go to digitalfrontiers.business.uconn.edu/contact/ and complete the form. Select “Advisory board” for the service request type. Include the following information:

• School and level (e.g. School of Business, Graduate student)
• Major, minor, and concentration (where applicable)
• Campus 
• Anticipated graduation date 
• One paragraph explaining how the advisory board would benefit from your membership
• One paragraph explaining why you are interested in joining the board

The Forage is an open-access platform that connects students with company-endorsed job simulations. These self-guided simulations can be completed from any device and, upon completion, students receive a certificate to showcase on their resume and LinkedIn.

UConn Academic Achievement Center

The AAC in Hartford is dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals by offering a range of support services. These include personalized coaching, workshops on academic success strategies, and resources like supplemental instruction to assist students in managing their coursework effectively. The AAC is located in HTB, Room 202 and is open to all students navigating their academic journey at UConn.
