STUDENT SPOTLIGHT:

MEET RUTH, A BUSINESS DATA ANALYTICS MAJOR

Ruth Gabbidon Headshot

Greetings!

My name is Ruth Gabbidon and I am a sophomore majoring in Business Data Analytics at the Hartford Campus.

I’m proud to be part of the Honors Program and actively involved in campus life. I hold several leadership roles on campus as chair of the Honors Student Leadership Board and Social Media manager of the Crochet club, I help organize events, mentor peers, and foster community among business students. In addition to my leadership roles, I work on campus with both Event Services and the School of Business, gaining valuable experience in operations and student engagement.

This past summer, I had the incredible opportunity to intern at Travelers Insurance Company, where I worked in Risk Management Information Services applying my data analytics skills in a professional setting and learned more about the insurance industry. These experiences have helped me grow both academically and professionally, and I’m excited to continue building connections and contributing to the campus community.
