Today, September 8th, is the Deadline to Add/Drop a Course

Monday, September 8th is the last day to Add/Drop a course without penalty or special permission/signatures. Students looking to add or drop a course are able to do so via their Student Admin. Visit virtual drop-in advising hours if you have any questions.

Are you ready to compete against 40 other U.S. schools and help solve real-world sustainability challenges? Join a team to represent UConn in the Questrom $50K Sustainability Case Competition and put your problem-solving skills to the test!

Work on a current sustainability issue and develop solutions that are both commercially and practically viable. This is your chance to make a real impact while showcasing your ideas on a national stage.

Who can apply?

• Interdisciplinary and cross-program student teams
• Graduate and undergraduate students
• You can sign up individually or as a team—we’ll help you find teammates!

Prize:

• $50,000 for the winning team

The College to Climate CAREERLAB is a 2 hour, ultra-interactive session that will teach students everything they need to know about finding a job in climate. Each student leaves with a personalized list of companies to reach out to, cold emails & LinkedIn messages drafted, and tangible next steps to move their job search forward. 

In this session, we’ll cover:

🔎 What a climate job actually is

🧭 How to find your climate niche

🤝 How to network and stand out to employers

🤖 How to use AI to boost your search

Successful 2026 spring semester participation leads to a $4k paid full time remote summer 2026 internship to execute on an idea! Eligible incoming students are encouraged to apply now. Are you interested in joining a team to represent UConn in the A4S International Case Competition, where your ideas could be seen and heard by leaders from some of the world’s largest and most influential companies? If so, please read carefully.

This year’s challenge focuses on corporate decarbonization within the broader context of a fair and just climate transition. Students will work together as action-oriented problem-solvers to apply their business skills to one of the world’s greatest challenges.

Cash Prizes:

• CA$10,000 for the winning team
• CA$5,000 for runners-up

To participate:

2. Form a team of 3–5 interdisciplinary students (undergrad or grad). Don’t have a team? Global Business Programs will help you find one!
3. Registration opens November 11
4. Registration closes January 19
5. Semi-finals take place virtually from February 24–28
6. Final round held in Toronto, Canada in early April 2025

This course is open to all students, undergraduates and graduates on any campus.

The Werth Institute's NetWerx Program cultivates essential networking and other entrepreneurial skills through a student-driven mentorship model.

Students develop the skills they need to succeed in today's work environments, through networking, communication, accountability, and opportunity recognition, regardless of career path. NetWerx helps students recognize who they are, what they know, and who they need to know to develop their entrepreneurial skills and realize their potential. Skills include networking, self-confidence, communication, accountability, and opportunity recognition.

The UConn Hartford Library, a partnership between UConn and Hartford Public Library, offers students, faculty, and staff access to the collections and resources of both institutions. Located on the ground level of Hartford Public Library, enter through Arch St. diagonally from the Times Building Courtyard, the UConn Library provides research assistance, workshops, and study spaces. Students visiting the UConn Hartford Library should bring their UConn ID with them to enter the facility.
