CPP received a call on our Hotline yesterday afternoon from
a property owner in Chino asking if a John Deere 135 excavator on his land was stolen. Apparently, the person who had rented the property
from him had stopped paying rent so the owner went to clear the land. Once we were able to determine that the JD was stolen, CPP reached out to our
contacts with CHP Inland Division (CTIP- cargo theft unit) to assist. Upon their
arrival, not only did the Detective locate and confirm the info for the
excavator, but he discovered 8 additional stolen units along with a load of
stolen soft drinks at the location.
Recovered:
JD 135 excavator = $300,000
CAT 125 Telehandler = $250,000
Flatbed trailer = $50,000
JLG Telehandler = $65,000
CAT 415 loader = $125,000
JLG 54 Telehandler = $65,000
Enclosed trailer = $15,000
JCB Telehandler = $125,000
JLG Telehandler = $84,000
Load of Zevia soft drinks = $50.000
Total: $1,129,000
