Greetings!

“None of us got to where we are alone. Whether the assistance we received was obvious or subtle, acknowledging someone’s help is a big part of understanding the importance of saying thank you.

Harvey Mackay, American businessman and author.

We spent time over the Thanksgiving holiday reflecting on the people, experiences, and things we’re most grateful for. We then turned our attention to the holidays and New Year on the horizon, making plans for where we’re going, goals we want to achieve, and the people who will be part of those goals.

We hope it doesn’t surprise you when we say that all of you were in both the reflection and the dreaming. And since things that might “go without saying” are always worth saying: THANK YOU to all of you for the parts you’ve played and will continue to play in our journey as a company and as individuals. Our accomplishments would not be as meaningful without you.

Non-delegated Lender? Slow down to speed up your 7(a) Loans process!
Ever driven past someone stopped for speeding?

We all have.

(Note: we’re not asking if you’ve ever been stopped for speeding!)

We speed through things, whether on the road or in our offices, because we want to get somewhere faster. But sometimes that actually results in getting there slower, or even not at all.

New Litigation Requirements!
By Rebecca Mendoza
Do you litigate? Quick answer: yes, you do – and if you haven’t yet, someday you will when a Borrower declares bankruptcy, or there’s judicial foreclosure, a death that impacts the loan, and so on.

And that means you need to know SBA’s updated litigation requirements, per the new SOP 50 57 3. As a point of reference, the Litigation chapter in that SOP grew from 9 pages to 13 – an almost 50 percent increase in their definition of terms, conditions, and requirements.

To start with, here are the key changes that jumped out at us:
As we move forward into the final days of 2023, what are you thankful for, what are you planning and dreaming about for 2024, and – crucially! – who will be by your side, encouraging you and making those plans and dreams possible?

This could become a trite, corny marketing message, and that is so not our intention. Therefore, we’re going to leave off our usual encouragement to call or email, and just say, with heartfelt sincerity: we’re here for you.
