Hike with the Harwinton Land Trust on National Trails Day
National Trails Day is designed to connect more people to trails. Each year, on the first Saturday of June, Americans of all ages and abilities are invited to find their own adventure at one of the thousands of events hosted throughout the country. In Connecticut, the CT Park and Forest Association does an outstanding job of coordinating Trails Day . Despite its small size, Connecticut hosts the largest number of events of any state in the USA!

As part of the National Trails Day in 2019, the Harwinton Land Trust will hold guided walks at two of our nature areas. Our nature walks will be tailored mostly for families with children, but folks of all ages will find the trails to be interesting, easy to walk on, and dry during normal weather conditions.  Harwinton Land Trust members will be present to guide visitors along the trails and will be happy to answer any questions.
Check with us here for weather cancellation.

Both Trail Day events by the Harwinton Land Trust will be held on Saturday, June 1.
At our Bull Pond Preserve , the walk will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. See descriptions of the Trails Day walk at Bull Pond,  parking locations, and map of the trail system.

At Meadowview , the walk will take place from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. See descriptions of the Trails Day walk at Meadowview, parking location, and map of the trail system.
This will be the first Trails Day walk at Meadowview, and will be a great opportunity for newcomers to visit the area with a guide.
