AMHSA Updates

Hi!

On December 3, 2025, The Workers’ Compensation Board-Alberta (WCB-Alberta) announced 2026 Employer Premium Rates. Unfortunately, the announcement includes Employer Premium Rate increases for all 4 municipal Industry Codes (Villages, Towns, Cities, and Municipal Districts).

This table shows comparative rates from 2025:

More information, including resources from WCB-Alberta for how these rates were derived, a breakdown by sector and rate group, and rate information from 2021-2025, is available on our website.

Do you have questions on the latest 2026 Employer Premium Rates and/or how AMHSA can support improvement in your health and safety program to reduce your WCB premiums? We’re here to help.

We have opened another FREE class of "The Working Mind First Responders Facilitator Certification Training (FCT)" course.

Why? First responders face dangerous, sometimes devastating situations. The impact on their mental health can be profound, with many sadly experiencing post-traumatic stress injuries (PTSI).

This training empowers leaders in your community and organization to deliver "The Working Mind First Responders (TWMFR)" program and Family Package sessions.

Throughout the course, participants will learn the five skills of being a Certified Facilitator through group discussions, exercises, workbook activities, and hands-on practice sessions. Upon successful completion, Certified Facilitators will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to help the first responders in their communities where it's needed and when it's needed.
